Popular folklore holds that THE BEAD is exclusive to the World Wish Campaign, and is hand formed by the women of Kazuri. They are glazed in a rich blue pearl to represent the oceans that join us together. THE CORD is brown silk - the colors of the earth - and is hand knotted by local villagers in Cambodia. Each knot represents a wish of the individual who made it.
By using double slip knots to join the silk cord,
the bead can be worn as either a traditional bracelet, or a necklace.
